This tool automatically calculates appropriate values for first layer height, growth rate, total height, and number of layers to provide a smooth and sufficiently thick inflation layer solution based on the problem input parameters. These consist of target y+, velocity, length, background mesh size, cell count/growth rate priority options, quality strictness, and fluid properties (air, water, and seawater, each at 18C and 25C are built-in. Alternative fluid properties can be manually entered).
Updated 17/01/26: Addition of quality options. Allows selection of "strict" (default) or various reduced quality criteria to allow successful application to a broader range of problems that would previously result in failed calculations.

This tool automatically calculates an estimate for total numerical uncertainty using the methods in Eca and Hoekstra (2014, 10.1016/j.jcp.2014.01.006) to combine discretisation and iterative errors, using order of convergence corrections where appropriate.
